MORE INFOThere is a choice of two routes ("easy" and "difficult"): the difficult one, which is deliberately not very well equipped, offers a succession of spaced-apart plates requiring frequent foot reversals. They join up and a large footbridge (30m) opens up. The route starts on the right and then skirts around the imposing central monolith (common) to reach the start of the long Nepalese bridge (35m). As you cross the bridge, a difficult route descends (an athletic but fairly short overhanging section) before climbing back up to the easy route in an 11m vertical net facing the void. There are two options at this point: - either exit via two monkey bridges (easy) - or continue via the Nepalese bridge (difficult) and exit (a monkey bridge). The via ferrata at Roqueprins is set in an exceptional, vertiginous setting. You can't take your eyes off the superb village of La Canourgue 350m below. Exposure: north-east
